Alicia is a scientist and entrepreneur passionate about building a healthier food system. With a PhD in synthetic biology, she founded MadeSweetly to unlock the power of sweet proteins — using precision fermentation to create better-tasting, more sustainable ingredients.

Rodrigo has spent his career exploring how microbes can power the future of food. As a professor at Imperial College London and founding director of both the Microbial Food Hub and the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein, he’s at the forefront of research into precision fermentation and sustainable ingredients.
